 Jay Briscoe is an American professional wrestler who has been a mainstay in the industry for over two decades. He is best known for his tenure in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is a two-time World Champion. He has also competed in various other promotions throughout his career, including TNA Wrestling, where he was a member of the faction known as The Kings of Wrestling.

Jay Briscoe was born on May 21, 1984 in Sandy Springs, Maryland. He grew up in a wrestling family, as his father was a wrestler and his older brother Mark was also involved in the business. Jay began training to become a wrestler at the age of 18 under the tutelage of his father and brother.

In 2002, Jay made his professional wrestling debut for Ring of Honor (ROH). He quickly made a name for himself in the company and became a regular member of the roster. In 2004, he and his brother Mark formed a tag team known as The Briscoe Brothers. Together, they won the ROH World Tag Team Championship on two occasions.

In 2008, Jay won his first ROH World Championship by defeating Nigel McGuinness. He would go on to hold the title for a total of seven months before losing it to Austin Aries. In 2011, Jay won the title for the second time by defeating Davey Richards. He held the title for a total of six months before losing it to Kevin Steen.

In addition to his success in ROH, Jay has also competed in various other promotions throughout his career. In 2005, he made his debut for TNA Wrestling, where he was a member of the faction known as The Kings of Wrestling. He would go on to win the TNA World Tag Team Championship on two occasions with his brother Mark.

In 2013, Jay and Mark signed with WWE and were assigned to WWE's developmental territory NXT, where they were known as The Briscoe Brothers. They were released from their contract in 2014.

Jay has also competed in various independent promotions throughout his career, including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) and Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW). He has also made appearances for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
